held each quarter
and new members are

have to be a
Hereford breeder.
The annual
subscription of $40
is payable to the
treasurer on 1st
July each year. If
you wish to
join, please contact
one of the office
bearers listed
below, with your

Meetings are
informal and usually
held at different
venues including
members’ properties.
They
are sometimes
combined with
activities at
industry relevant
locations, such as
Ag Show and Farm
Fest.
The Association
supports Junior
activities and is
always available to
the Junior
Associations for
help and guidance.
It also offers
support to the Qld
Poll Hers ladies
group.
2009 sees Herefords

Herefords Queensland
Association Inc. is
the result of the
amalgamation of two
breed groups.
These groups, the
Queensland Poll
Hereford Association
Inc. founded in 1970
and the
Queensland Hereford
Association Inc.
founded in 1973 have
both been actively
promoting the
Hereford breed for
well over 30 years.
Operating together
now as a new
organization as of
the 15 June 2008,
the members look
forward
with enthusiasm to
what the future
holds for the breed
in Queensland.
The aims of our
Association are:
-
To promote the
improvement and
popularity of
Hereford cattle
in Queensland.
-
To promote in
any way
whatsoever the
interests of
breeders of
Hereford cattle
in Queensland.
-
To adopt such
means of making
known the
objects and the
benefits of the
Association as
may seem
expedient and to
further
otherwise the
interests of
Members by
advertising in
the press, by
circulars, by
publication of
books and
periodicals, by
broadcasting, by
granting prizes
rewards or
donations or by
any other means.
-
To support and
assist in the
progress and
development of
any agricultural
show, and to
promote
competitions and
award prizes or
to make
contributions
for that
purpose.
